Today it struck me how diverse the work we do really is. Every single day is different from the last. Each woman we see is special. Each one has her own story, her own fears. We at EMC are here to love them. That is the single most important thing we can do. Love and pray.
Today we encountered a woman, and while she was not pregnant, she needed help and God sent her to us. We had a table outside of our south Bronx office with abortion information on it when she walked by. She told me she needed a pregnancy test, so I brought her upstairs. She's had a history of abuse, and really just needed people to listen to her and love her.
We have to love the women first, and then we can save their babies.
