Today was a busy Saturday in the Bronx Center. In the short time I was there from 9-1 we saw about 6 women. All of these women had interesting/sad stories to share. One was in a controlled relationship with her boyfriend. Julie helped her get in touch with the Sister's for life, so that she may have the chance to keep her baby.
Another had 3 children, was living in a shelter, and had two previous abortions. She said she was still haunted by her abortions. "Life" was tattooed on her upper chest to remind herself of the right choice to make in the future.
One woman left undecided from our center.She wanted a child, but was afraid of what it might do to her pride. Well, an abortion would certainly not help her pride! Her boyfriend was very supportive and wanted so badly to keep the baby. We set up a sonogram for her, so hopefully that will lean her towards definitely keeping her child. So many women and babies to think about and pray for! God, please give these women the strength and courage they need to keep their babies and earn for themselves the self-respect they deserve.
