A thirteen year old girl came into Liz's office today. She said "It was my first and only time." Sherrie had little animal bracelets around her wrists and was wearing her Hannah Montana shirt. This little girl sitting next to me thought she was pregnant?!
It was sad to see Sherrie so worried and stressed about being pregnant. Her mom wanted her to abort.
After watching the abortion procedures video she said she could never go through with an abortion. "Why?" we asked. She said "Because its killing a baby."
If only everyone that came to the center realized this truth.
She was still young enough not to be corrupted by the society surrounding her, and saw the truth set in front of her.
Her test was negative and we talked to her about abstinence and self-worth. So, hopefully Sherrie realizes how important she is, and that she is well worth the wait.
