Last weekend we went to visit the Holocaust museum in Washington DC, and we ended up with the conclusion than it is very related with our main issue: abortion.
In his book Mein Kampf (My Struggle) Adolf Hitler had stated that it was the mission of the German Reich to assemble and preserve the German people's most valuable racial elements and raise them to a dominant position.
All human beings were grouped into a hierarchy of superior and inferior races. The nazis regarded germans and other Nordic peoples as racially superior; and slavs, gypsies and blacks as inferior. At the bottom of this scale were the Jews, considered also to be the most dangerous race, in part because, in the Nazis' view, Jews lived parasitically off other races and weakened them. Nazism taught that racial struggle was the driving force in history: superior races must prevail over inferior races in order not to be corrupted by them. Superior races must be encouraged to reproduce, but procreation by inferior races should be discouraged.
Racism pervaded the culture of Nazi Germany. Racist ideas were taught in schools and penetrated the fields of anthropology, sociology, history, biology and medicine. During World War II, racism shaped Nazi Germany's social policies and war aims and charted the course toward genocide.
You would probably think that those ideas are totally overrated and indefensible but actually, abortion is just the same, but even worse because we are not in an atmosphere of war and we are witnesses of daily infanticide.
So we should stop and ask ourselves: what scares you more? A nazi killing jews with a gun or a mother deciding to kill her own child with the help of a doctor?
