Cross of Life

Sunday afternoon, hundreds of pro-lifers came out to Summer of Mercy2.0. Together we formed a cross along the road as a symbol and prophetic witness of God's mercy for us and his power to end late term abortions in Germantown, MD. We all wore red and assembled in sections to form the huge cross. Then a plane flew over and took pictures. As soon as the plane was finished and flying away, it began to pour down rain. We walked in the cleansing rain while the police helped to usher us all safely across the highway. On the way home, I saw there were about 50 0r so pro-choicers assembled in their usual spot. They had been there all week, but this time their small size seemed comical in comparison to the hundreds and hundreds of pro-lifers who came out.

This week has united the church. There have been Christians from several congregations and denominations all standing together against the evil of abortion. Today's event was a visual reminder that the truth of the cross will always prevail!
