In the pregnancy centers at EMC we see every type of imaginable situation. Recently, it broke my heart to have to talk to a girl that was only 13 years old. She was only in eighth grade.
Thankfully, the test was negative but I was still able to talk with her for a long time about the virtue of chastity and the horror of abortion. She was very receptive and seemed to understand the gravity of her decision to be sexually active at such a young age.
Again thankfully, I had determined it was not an instance of statutory rape, but I still let her know that she is simply too young to be making these sorts of decisions that can radically alter her life forever.
