A very touching thing happened recently when a police officer began speaking to me while we were giving our pro-life demonstrations on the streets of the Bronx. He went to one of our fetal models, pointed, and told me that when his daughter was born she was less than that (a model of about 26 weeks) size.
His wife was pregnant with twins when she miscarried one of them. The doctors basically gave them no chance of the other child surviving but she did. She was extremely premature but she made it. Now the little girl is a healthy five year old.
The police officer was very excited to tell me his story and I think it is a good example of one of those happy pro-life stories that keeps you going.
