Who am I?

Today at Jerome's Clinic in the Bronx, a 21 one year old walked in, she looked runned down and her attitude and eyes made me thinck that something was not right. It turns out she alredy has 2 girls, she lives alone in a one bedroom apartmend, she does not have a job and they just filed a court law agains her and her exboyfriend becouse there might be a possible issue of domestic violence. Even with her life in a mess, her attitude was sort of positive, she did not what the baby but did not whant the abortion. She ended up considering adoption but she is still undecaided. She is going to get a sonogram next tuesday and hopfully that will help her make up her mind.
The hardest thing and the most rewarding about working at the EMC Front Line Clinics is trying to understand and cope with the stories of these women. For one, you have no idea what to talk to them about because your life is so different, its feels like your just running on different levels, but at the same time its rewarding because you come to be extremely thankful for what you have and how you have been raised that you realaise you have no right to be sad, pessimistic or even come close to complain about anything .
