A helping hand goes a long way

Two days ago Maria, Rose Ann, and I met with a girl who is currently pregnant and made a decision to keep her child but was post abortive. This girl had her abortion when she was fifteen years old. At first she talked about it so nonchalantly like it wasn't such a big deal. She said "I was fifteen. What else could I do?" As we talked to her more and more. It finally dawned on her how huge the impact of the decision she made when she was younger affected her now. She said that shortly after she had the abortion she would see a little person sleeping at the edge of the bed. She couldn't sleep and she would wake up the whole house yelling because she was so scared. She told us that the abortion is always on her mind.
Linda also explained to her how they sell the baby's parts for research after they do the abortion. She let the girl see the price list and she broke down crying. She told us that she had do a project on abortion in high school and knew so much information about it but it really didn't affect her like it did now. She seemed really remorseful and said she wish knew of a place like this when she was younger and that she would've kept her child if she knew that she had help. We told her about the retreat with Rachel's Vineyard and she said she would be willing to attending. Overall, she seemed really grateful for our help.
