Leaving Out Better Than She Came In

Today Carol and I met with a lady who was 40 years old and who was possibly pregnant. We asked her what were her fears if she were to be pregnant. She said she didn't know. She just recently got divorced and is a single mother of five kids. She's never had an abortion before but we sensed that she wanted to get one just because she was ashamed. At one point she just got overwhelmed and started crying.
We later took her to get a sonogram and found out that she was 9 weeks pregnant. She cried some more when she found out how far along she was. We then sat with Linda to talk to her some more. We let her know that she should think some more before she made her decision. We were also able to help her out with some resources. When we talked the second time she opened up a lot more and she left much happier than she came in. It gave us hope that her child would live.
