Reason to Believe

Monday morning at the Queens Clinic usually is very busy, because its our sonogram day. But this Monday started out very quiet. We got our table set up on the street and started giving out information, these 2 girls stoped by and we told them about our clinics and the help we provaide to girls going threw crisis pregnancies, they were amazing and even more so when we showed them the baby models we have. They had no idea the baby was developed by 9 weeks, they did not know you can hear the heart beat..... they were very thankful and talking to girls like these and seeing that our work has meaning even on the street helps us go on threw the day.
It help me especially, because after 4 hours in the sun I was ready to go off to lunch, just then the door bell rang and there was a Spanish couple, they came for an abortion because they already have 2 children and he as no job. I talked about how the baby she is caring already knows when the mother talks, how it is a gift and not a problem, they were scared, they felt alone in this new country, but I told them that being scared was not a reason to kill a baby, I assured them that it was not the end of the road, they are not alone, we can help them threw this, and God as sent them this baby for a reason, a beautiful reason and they should not give up. We also watched the videos of abortion. after talking and waching the videos I gave them a minute olone, its alot of information for one day. When I came back they were smiling, they wanted to fight for this baby!!! They got there sonogram but it was to early to see the baby so they are coming back in 2 weeks. They left smiling and holding on to each other thanking us for helping them.
As they left I taught about not giving up on life, not only new life, but the life path God puts ahead of us, we should never lay back and let the tide catch up with us because as Bruce Springsteen sings "at the end of every hard day, people always fins a reason to believe" and this Spanish couple today was my reason to believe.
