Forgiveness

Today was my first day at Emily's, our purpose there is to try and talk to the girls who come to enter the clinic show them the value of continuing with their pregnancy.

But today i don't want to focus on the women who enter the clinic, rather on those that go out the back door after getting the abortion. It's so difficult to see the faces filled with pain, the scared and timid movements, and the physical weakness that these girls often leave with. I got to talk with one of these girls, she came towards me like in an attempt to find some support after what had just happened. Looking at me with an incredibly painful expression, she told me that the abortion was horrible, and she feels so bad, but that was her only way out, because she didn't have a job, like her boyfriend, and they can't afford to raise a baby, but this is going her first and last time.

This experience makes me think about the support that we must offer to these girls that are lost and don't know what to do with their lives after the trauma of an abortion. They need our love and affection, and thus they can ask God for forgiveness, praying with a sincere heart, where they will find forgiveness and healing. Then to continue with their lives and hopefully in the future to start a family.
