As you all might know, going to Doctor Emily´s, the abortion clinic situated in the E. 149 St on the Bronx is sometimes so difficult for us. Apart from the hot and the intimidating security guards, seeing how the girls go there with their suffering faces is so hard. Moreover, they don´t wanna listen to us. So, in most cases, you end your work hours feeling like a helpless person, given that you can´t have done nothing to assist these poor women.
But last saturday, one of the women who eventually go to pray for a while in front of the clinic approached to us and her words encouraged me to keep doing my job. She said that, although somedays we had the impression of having done nothing, the fact of standing in the street was enough. That is true. We are the last hope for these girls. In the majority of the cases, they do not want to talk to us but, at least, we have been there for them, to help and give whatever they need,
