Fourth of July!

Hi, hope everyone had a blessed 4th of July yesterday!

Today, and on Thursday I was in the Queens office with Sunny. Please keep in your prayers the women who came in. One woman whom we tried to help was adamant that she was to have an abortion, and nothing we could say could possibly sway her to the option of keeping her baby. She only asked if we could give her the abortion pill there and then. Please pray that we have helped her in some way, and that she changes her mind before it is too late. Also, another woman had three children all under the age of four, and with the youngest still in nappies, and no support, she was struggling to find a solution apart from abortion.

Yesterday, as it was a holiday, a few of us decided to explore Manhattan. In the sadness of the 911 memorial, I witnessed something hopeful. Along with the names of those who passed away in the twin towers, a woman was listed along with her 'unborn baby'.

If only other babies in the womb were recognised as having the same dignity and right to life as this baby, then abortion would not exist. The Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004, in US law, recognises a child in utero as a legal victim, if he or she is injured or killed during the commission of any of over 60 listed federal crimes of violence. Therefore, the 164,000 abortions that happen on average every year in NYC simply based on social and financial reasons cannot be justified.

Please continue to keep those women in your prayers who struggle to recognise the miracle of life, that they may be filled with the Holy Spirit and be given the strength and courage to continue with their pregnancy and find joy in the birth of their baby. And that politicians and policy makers throughout the world recognise ALL life, from the womb to natural death.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend! God bless.
