Tag-team counselling

A young lady came into our office in the south Bronx, Wednesday of last week, she was feeling vulnerable, her boyfriend pressuring her to have an abortion, after speaking with Brenda she had a feeling of relief as Brenda affirm and reassure what she already knew, that this was a life that grew within her and it would be wrong to snuff out. They made an appointment for her return that Saturday with the plan of bringing her boyfriend along. As Brenda spoke with him and I with his girlfriend, he told us that he was worry that he couldn’t afford to raise this child and made references to hardships faced in the Latino community, we were able to offer them practical support, and I thank God I was able to relate to them in special way because of my background.
