Press Conference on Capitol Hill

We had the oppertunity to visit Washington DC for three days to take part in two Press Conferences on Capitol Hill. During which we protested the Abortion Mandate in the Propossed Heathe Care Reform Bill. Alveda King and other leaders in the African American Community spoke about the effect of abortion on the Black population in America. Our very own Chris Slattery spoke about EMC and the work we do with women in Crisis Pregnancies in New York City. Later we walked the halls of Congress praying that this unjust bill would not pass. It was exciting to participate in a moment that will go down in history.
