Salve. I'm the new guy.
I have been in NY for 6 days, have only worked for 4 full days and already I’ve counseled 9 women, shadowed during 3 more sessions, ran a crisis pregnancy center single-handed, side-walk counseled, mastered the NY subway system and toured The City (thanks to fellow intern Carlos—and St. Raphael—I don’t have to add “got lost” to the list)—talk about diving in head first! The LifeHouse in the Bronx is very homey, my fellow interns are wonderful and already feel like family, the lovely parish of St. Anthony's is right around the corner (literally), and the experiences to be had here are diverse, unique, interesting, and exciting. All in all, I’d say the summer's off to a good start.
