Pro-Life Thoughts

This is not a normal blog post, these are just a very short compilation of my thoughts on the pro-life movement.

I feel like trying to end abortion without changing society first is like putting a bandage over a knife wound while the knife is still in the wound.  First, we need to work on society and get them to realize truth, to develop respect for one another and for themselves before we can convince them that anything is wrong.  We need to do more than just sidewalk counseling or activism, we need to change the very hearts of the people.  As Pope John Paul II said so perfectly, "As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live."

We, as the pro-life movement, are definitely winning this battle for life; but there is still so much left to do.  So many people call themselves "pro-life" but yet do nothing to stop abortion.  How can you be pro-life, and do nothing while more than 1.2 million children die every year in our nation? "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."-Edmund Burke.  If everyone who said they were "pro-life" would act pro-life abortion would cease to exist in our nation and even our world.

Sometimes we get confused and think that we are fighting against abortionists, pro-choice politicians, or pro-choice people.  That is not at all what we are fighting, we are fighting evil, we are fighting deception, exploitation, and lack of respect towards human beings.  We should never fight directly against people what we are fighting is not tangible it is not a person but evil itself.  So the way we are going to win this battle is with God! We must include God in our every move and make sure that we are in union with Him.  "If God is for us, who can be against us?" -Romans 8:31
