A hard day at The Bronx

Hello again!!! Two days ago i had a very hard experience while i was working in Jerome office, a office located in The Bronz. A woman came. She was nice, but when she started to tell her story she started to cry.  Rosie was talking to her and the woman was telling us her hard story. She had her family in Jamaica, but his father who was living in Texas. She started going out with a man, but after some time she realized that he was married. That is the point when she started crying a lot. The man didn´t want to come to the office. However, rosie called him to come with her in a few days. It is a very difficult situation because she lives alone and she doen´s have a money.

I think she will keep the baby because of our help!!!!

Today at emilys

Today i woke up a little bit sad because it was raining. I woke up and i took the subway with my friends to emilys. It was a difficult morning and we were with the umbrella waiting for the women to come. I don´t know if it is because the rain but fewer women came. 

We tried to talk to them, but in the front door it is very difficult, so i tried to stay not vey close to the door. It was difficult to to this job because you didn´t know which women were going inside the clinic. However, we talk to some women. I hope that they thinked about what they were doing

Last counceling

Yesterday it was a good day. We had few women coming to the office, but i had a nice experience. When we were on the point of closing the office a woman came in. She was from Dominique Republic, and she was happy. It seemed strange to us because it is very rare that women como with a smile on their faces. I started to talk to her, and i was fully surprised when she said that she wanted to have the baby. She was there just to make the free sonogram, but she wanted the baby. I was very happy after talking to her. It is nice when a woman is so sure to keep her baby.

A different kind of work

Hello, its Fernando again, and i hope you enjoy my Post!!!!!!!

I have to say that my last days of work has been totally different from the work i usually do. This two days have been very technical. Manu, another spanish guy, and I had to go to many churches in manhattan and its surroundings, to get money from many the churches. After that we had to go to the bank to count the money and it was impressive how much money we collected. The people in New York seems to be aware with the idea that fetus are human beings and abortion is not the right choice.
