SAYING GOOD BYE

Today some of our friends have left back to Spain, every day we are less and it's hard to say goodbye.

Througt these monThs living together(we have lived and shared so many moments that thanks to them our friendship has grown up)It has been a lifetime experience that we will never forget. We have realised that it is necessary to fight against injustice and that, moreover, fighting for the lifes of those most needed and indefensed is our duty and responsibility. We have to give a good example to our peers,if we,the young people,do not speak out our mind and stand for what we belive ,none will do it for us.We have the future in our hands and it is too precious to let it go

sidewalk counseling

Hello,

This has been a hard week. Since I am part of the A team I am being a sidewalk counselor in Doctor

Emily's and Planned Parenthood.

Basically what we do is to be in strategic spots near the abortion clinic, all the team is spread, paying

attention that no woman goes inside without talking to us.

We offer them the last chance to save their babies, we stop them and ask them if they have an

appointment in the clinic, we give them information and if we are lucky we are able to get into a

conversation with them, and have them get a free sonogram in the mobile unit.

What really happens, is that many time when we ask them if they have an appointment they lie, and say

no because they already know what we are going to tell them, and the truth is sometimes hard to listen.

Others are angry with you and shout: "don't talk to me, get away!"

So afterward is hard to feel very good. On the other hand, when one girl stops and understands what

we are telling her, and decides to have a sonogram and keep the baby, that turn around is for me three

times more valuable than one we could get in the office, and it makes all the bad faces and tiredness

worthy.

Organizing!

Hello everybody!!

Today i went to the bronx office, we worked very hard! we did four councelings, which is not a lot but one was a tourn around! so it was very worhty.
Also what we mainly did was organize all the donations, we separeted the clouths of baby girls and baby boys, between months and sizes so that it will be more easy to search for them when the mothers come to the office.

That was it for today,

See you!

Great counceling

Yesterday i went to the bronx office, it was the second time for me. I was there with a misionaire, we did a counceling together and i was really impressed!

It was amazing how she spoke. I could see all the prayer behind and her words touched me deep. She asked her if she tought abortion was good. -No. Then, how can good things come from it?

She told her about the strong relationship that the mother and the baby have. And that if she wouldn't recommend IT to her friends why she was doing that to herself.

Joe Scheidler

As i told you, last week i had the opportunity to meet many important prolifers in the US. Joe was one of them. Along with his wife, he has worked very hard for the prolife movement. He is such an amazing example to me.

This is his wesite where you can find more information:

Minessota!

We just arrived to NYC after an 8 days trip. We went to Minessota, and attended a prolife meeting. It was very interesting. Mainly it was about sideway counseling. Important prolifers talked about their experiences and gave us tips.

Now, back in NY the ones who went there have formed the A team and several times a week we go to Dr Emily to do sideway counseling. I am sure this will help us help more people!

AWESOME

I just loved how convinced she was, she came in on Thursday and she said she just wanted a sonogram because she wanted to parent. I asked her if she had had any abortions before and that is what she told me:
Look girl, I am not having any abortions any more, I had enough, that’s not who I am, I am a fighter, so I’m keeping this baby. Another one I guess.
I didn’t expect the answer or the last sentence. Indeed she was a strong woman.

She had had already two abortions. She knew that her economic situation and being a single mother wouldn’t make it easy but she had learned that you need something more to face the consequences; she wouldn’t take the easy way out.

"Problem solving"

The other day i went to do sidewalk couseling in Dr. Emily. I was there all morning, just some minutes before leaving i saw a girl coming out the clinic, by the way she walked and her face I could tell she just had had an abortion. I approached her and tried to talk to her. At first she avoided me but then i saw she started to cry and I told her that there is always hope and God is merciful. I told her we could help her, and then gave her a lifelet.

Sometimes we have to experience some hardship and difficult moments to realize what is wrong and what is right. I hope this girl understood that abortion is not the solution, it hurts more than the "problems" it might solve.

My first turn around!

It was just this morning when, in the Queens office, a couple came in, they both wanted an abortion. Fortunately she was in her 18 week, so in the sonogram we could see perfectly the baby. After I talked to her, and like it always happens when they start to trust you and realize that what we want is the best for them, she told me the reason why she wanted to abort. We are going to help them find a solution to their problems, because getting rid of the baby is not going solve them, and now they are going to keep the baby!

Of course, it was not that easy from the begginig. Actually at first I didn't feel very confindent, I wondered how could a girl like me help someone with big problems and important decisions to make. Then I realized that we are God's tools and He helps us. Somehow we say something that touches the heart of the woman we have in front, and in this way, she saves her baby.

Hello NYC!

Hello NYC and all new yorkers, I am Alicia, a nineteen year old catalan girl. I am from Girona, a little city of Spain next to Barcelona. Having the opportunity to come to NY this summer has been the best present I could have had. not only because already visiting NY is a dream come true but also because I can really help people and that makes me feel happy and fulfilled. Actually now that I have already been for some days here and have had my first contact with pregnant mothers I realize that what you feel after a turn around has no price.
