USHMM

A new experience

This week I have had one more time a great experience at Bronx office.

As usually I do I have attended  to the girls that arrived scare with "their problem" and others that

despite his youth want to be mothers. With the first of them is harder because we have to help them

realize that there is no problem, it is a life, a great gift that will bring them much joy and being able to
be a mother is a experience. With the seconds, I think is incredible, I surprised a lot as I see them

appear "weak" and when I talk to them I realize how much they are worth, the truth is I feel very

proud of them but just I know them.

The next week we will have a new experience.

Keeping in touch

Hello  it is Miriam again!

Today in English. The first days of this week have been a very good days at the office of the Bronx. I've been working with EMC for six weeks and what excites me most of all is to see how the girls react after talking to them, to perform the sonogram and then to know their final decision.  You feel delighted when some of the women finally decide to change their minds and keep their babies alive thanks to your intervention. However, the important thing is what happens when they leave the office, day by day.

I've been calling the girls who attended during these weeks and I'm excited when I have news about those who continue the idea of having the baby. There are also girls who choose getting an abortion and when I hear about them, I think my work has not been very good and that I should have done more.  And I hope next time they get pregnant they will remember the videos and what I said to them.

Hi! I am Miriam Grinan again!
This days have been a special days. One girl that came months ago had her baby . When she came here she had decided to do an abortion, but later, she turned around and she decided to give the baby in adoption.
Adoption is a good option. There are a lot of marriages of single people that want a baby but they can't have them. It is weird that there are people that can get pregnant and don't want the baby, and peeople that really want a baby and can't have one.
I encourage all those girls who for various reasons can not take care of their children to have them, because in adoption, there are a lot of couples wishing to start a family. With the various agencies biological mothers may choose the adoptive parents of their children and stay in touch.
In conclusion, adoption is a good option!

Hello!
This weeek I was in differents types of work, one day I went to pick up donations, another day I went to Doctor Emily's and the others two days I went to the Bronx office.
I like soo much to have three differents types of work, we are never bored and we can talk with all the girls that there are undecided and come into the office, and on the other hand, with the girls that they are decided and go to Doctor Emily's to do an abortion.
Today in english too!
I hope your enjoy and I don't make a lot of mistakes!
Last monday I went with two other interns to pick up the donations of the differents churchs. It was very surprising,I never thought that so many people would help us.We enjoyed and we were so excited because in the donations there was a lot of money, and in this country there are people who are so generous.
I would like to give thanks for all the people that give money for EMC, because if these people don't do it, we can't work and we would lose a lot of babies.

A surprising day!

Today I am going to write my weekly blog in english. I hope you enjoy it!
This morning I have been working in Doctor Emily´s, an abortion clinic that is located in the Bronx.
The work at Emily´s is very hard, and we don´t usually have many people helping us to do the work. However, today was a crowded day. Many people have come to support us in defense of the pro-life ideology. There were many different people coming from different places, like many monks and young people. Moreover there were old people coming to support us. It was really exciting and, as I said, very surprising.
Hoping to see you soon!
