PASS THE BILL, THE BILL HAS PASSED!

Last week, as I informed you in my older posts, I went to Austin, Texas fighting against abortion with a group of american pro lifers. The group was called "students for life".
We spent most of our time in the Capitol visiting governors and senders. All of then summing up, transmited the same message this was that we don´t have to worry in a prolife fight because the thuth always wins so we just have to trust and smile.
So we carried on with the week showing our prolife message and supporting the others pro lifers who came from different parts of the US.
We keep walking through the Capitol with our big paintings with prolife´s message and we also praid for all the babies and  the end of the abortion.

One day, we went to planned parenthood´s door and we stay there for a long time praying and trying to talk with the ladies who entered though sometimes.

So, at the end, one more time we can see that if we work for something hardly and with faith we will get it; every effort has a reward!

such an amazing week!

Hey there again!

I am back here after an amazing week, full of emotions! I have been moving along the east coast. Firstly I went to Virginia and visited the different places and cities, from a crowd city such as Washington dc or a town such as Georgetown or Jamestown.
In these places we learnt a lot about the American history and we also had the opportunity of knowing how Americans used to live years ago, in the dates when the independence of America took place. Last week we also celebrated the Independence Day, we went to Busch gardens and at the end of the day we enjoyed the typical American fireworks, it was such a new and amazing experience! After these days resting and sightseeing Virginia I went with my friends to Washington so we took a coach to Austin, Texas which took 30 hours and a great experience to meet new people who also want to fight against abortion.

Courage

Hi there! How are you doing? This week in NYC has been such a productive week; we have worked a lot in the different offices and also at the Life-house. Little by little, we are learning how to live with lot of people in just one house. It is amazing how we do to share our time with each other. Apart of learning from the girls who come to the offices, we also learn from the other interns living and sharing with them every minute of the day in the Life-house or going for sightseeing.

I would like to tell all of you one of the things that has impressed me the most. It is the story of one of my clients. This is a girl who is seventeen years old and she was the second time she was pregnant. The first time she was pregnant was when she was fifteen and she decided to keep the baby instead of going for an abortion or giving for adoption. She came to the office (with her cute little daughter) because she was afraid with her second pregnancy, she didn´t want to go for an abortion because she realized that her little daughter was the best thing she had in this moment (and so the new baby could be another “best thing” in her life) but at the same time she was worried because she was so young and she wanted to continue with the college.

After talking for a while, studying all the risks that an abortion can have she decided that she was going to think carefully what she could do with her studies because she wanted to keep her new baby. I think this a clear example of courage that can teach us how we have to act in such difficult situation because everything in this world has a solution, we just have to be braves!!

Maria

Hello everybody!

My name is María Araiz, I am from Bilbao (Spain) but I live in Pamplona since I started my degree. I am 20, and I am in second of pharmacy. Because of my degree I have always be interested on the importance of life, that is the principal reason why I want to help those people who are not conscious about it.

I arrived to the Lifehouse last Friday after a long trip and since Friday I have learned a lot. I would say that the main important idea to keep in our heads during these days of working is that we have to love the people, to love those girls who are in a difficult situation where they do not know what to do. I knew EMC internship programme thanks to few people I met in my uni. For the moment I am really happy and I would keep you inform about my experience!
