Our Father

Our Father, Who is in heaven,

Holly is Your Name;

Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us;
and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

This is our secret weapon to end abortion.

I hope to come back soon.

On Sunday I will go back to home in Spain. I am proud of myself and also of EMC Pregnancy Centers, because of our work done this summer. First of all I have learned that abortion is dangerous for the baby and also for the mother. I have also learned that if abortion still exists it is because it generates a lot of money and because there are a lot of people who don't know the consequences of having an abortion. I am happy for all the babies that I and EMC have saved this summer. I will never forget the happiness and the joy of a mother when she discovers that in her womb there is a doughter. But I also feel a little bit upset because, despite having done all this work, there is still a lot of work to do; that is why I am going to become an ACTIVE pro-lifer in Spain. I am planning to learn more about the abortion clinics and the pregnancy centers.

I hope to come back soon.

As the Beatles say: All you need is Love.

In respect to the problens that our women have, they are not economic problems, or problems with their boyfriends or that they haven´t finished their studies. The principal problem is the lack of education. Most of the women that visit us and I have spoken with have grown up in an envirionment without a stable family life or a healthy emotional experience. That´s why I encourage them to start from the beginning and give the best to their children because of the effect it will bear in their lives which they themselves were deprived of. That they give their children a good childhood like they would have wanted. I am referring to what I recently spoke to a woman about. If these children grow up with love, education and formation they will be healthy and solid as adults.

Pro-Right-Choice

In life, we encounter many different options, many kinds of decisions, there are also many kinds of people and ways to arrive at the same place… There are some decisions that does not matter what you decides. It does not matter if you decide that your car is red or blue. But there are other kinds of decisions that are more important and can totally alter the direction of your life in one direction or another.

In another kind of decisions, there are some that they are very easy to choose, in other words, you don’t have to choose anything because someone does it for you and you know that you will be right because you are doing just what this person has told you; and if you don’t do the right thing, is not your fault because you have done just what this person told you, this has a name and it is obedience, and sometimes is much better that do things on your own. We have to be careful whom we obey. With that I mean that if God wants you to have the baby it is because you have to have the baby and you will be fine, just because you are obeying. And it is important to say that the baby is not the property of the mother (slavery ended in America a long time ago), the baby is a person, a life and is therefore God´s.

At the end of your life, you will give an account of all the decisions you have made, and there are decisions that will make you feel more sorry and you will wish you never made; and another kind of decisions that you won’t feel anything, or proud, or whatever.

We just have to make the correct decision in our life, in order to be happy and proud of ourselves.

Pro-Life the European Union

I am Luis, and as you know, I am from Spain where I study law that's why I am interested in pro-life law. I have found a very interesting article in an Spanish newspaper called "ABC", where you can find the reasons why the European Union argues that the embryo is a human being from conception.

The General Lawer of the European Cort of Justice notes that there can not be patented embryonic estem cells and the reasons are the next: The fertilized egg has the capacity to develop into a complete human being and should therefore be legally qualified as human embryos. In addition, the General Counsel argues that there is a Europen directive which says that you must protect the human body in different stages of its formation and its development. Another argument is that these cells as they constitude the first stage of the human body in which they become legally embryos must be qualified, which should be excluded from patentability.

If this view takes the form of statement, It can be a great step for fans and lovers of life and quite a blow to merchants of death.

A Fascinating Story

This week I have been to the Queens center many times and one day I had the pleasure of meeting a woman and 4 of her 5 children. This women cames to our Queens center with her boyfriend and 4 kids, each one more cute than the one before, she was forced to abort by her boyfriend.

We gave them a lot of information about the abortion that they didn´t know. We taught them the practice of abortion, all the consecuances and the moral aspect of this decision.

After this the boyfriend, the one who forced her to do it, was regretting having forced her and he started supporting the decision she made, and her boyfriend left the center.

The woman told her story to the Sisters of Life as follows: She was sexually abused when she was just a girl by her grandfather; her father had always been a violent person, so much so, her father killed his brother with sticks. She has 5 children and she is pregnant, the two first conceived through rape, and the one she was pregnant with beacause of prostitution. She never had an abortion before and the Sisters gave her two bags of clothes and some money.

This woman was very happy.

What it means to be Pro-life

Being pro-life is defending life from conception to natural death.

Being pro-life is a conviction that leads to action, that´s why we are doing what we´re doing.

Being pro-life means preaching by example, our commitment to life is seen in our complete care and respect. Therefore we respect those things that make a risk to human life avoidable: both ours and everyone else´s. It would be inconsistent to adopt routines, habits and vices that belie the assertion to defend life (drugs, for example).

But it goes beyond the exterior expression of their actions and is also reflected in their views: a pro-life person cannot be in favor of the death penalty, death or violence under any circunstances.

Being pro-life means respecting motherhood. We believe that respect for motherhood begins with and is based on education and will necessarily lead to helping expectant mothers.

We are prolife independent of our politics, religion, income, origin or ability.

What matters is how much love we put into our work.

Yesterday I went to Dr. Emily´s Abortion Clinic, it was amazing. When I had just arrived I saw a women that I knew because I had spoken with her last Saturday, she was going to abort but was very afraid. She wasn´t really sure about what she was going to do because she wanted to have the child but motivated by her circumstances, she had decided to abort.

For the procedure, she wanted them to take it out in one piece in onder to be able to kiss the baby before saying goodbye to it forever. It sounds very cruel, but one person can do things like that whe she is very desperate. That shows the love that this mother felt for her baby and we recognized this love.

Our work consisted of revealing this love between mother and baby. In the end the mother decided to keep the baby. The situation was then turned into a blessing for both the mother and the child.

We can do no great things, only small things with great love

It is very important to be active in the pro-life world. To be a great and peaceful soldier in this war. To prevail we must take part in an active way. When more soldiers join the fight it makes each part easier and the war progresses more quickly. I say this because of all the people that I speak with in the streets while I am working in this internship, they tell me that I am doing a great work, that we must stop abortion,
and they agree with me, but they don´t fight with me in the cause. I can understand that they may be busy but if everybody pulls his own weight it will be easy and quick.

As in the scene from the film “Finding Nemo” when all the

As in the scene from the film “Finding Nemo” when all the fish agree to swim down to escape the net, they do it together, quickly and victoriously.

It may be a utopia that I am describing but this I know, there are many people against

abortion that would like to participate in an active way, to abolish abortion but they don´t do anything; I encourage those people to contact us and be part of EMC.

Together we will end abortion

Jacksonville Conference

I have spent a week having many new experiences and I was lucky enough to attend the National Right to Life conference in Jacksonville, Florida. In there I learned many things I didn´t know about abortion, women, the unborn, maternity, and more…

The conference lasted three days. First there was a general session with some important American speakers like Abby Johnson, who was formerly a Planned Parenthood employee. Carol Tobias and Burke Balch were others. Then there were many workshops which I enjoyed very much and in which I learned many things. Some of them were for example: "Medical abortion: An Update and Review of the psychological Dangers to Women” and “A Love for Life: Christianity´s Consistent Protection of the Unborn.

I recommend everybody see the movie “Doonby: A life Worth Living a Story Worth Telling"; a movie full of intrigue.

Hi I'm Luis!

I´m Luis, I am from Spain and I´m the youngest of 6 brothers and sisters. All my siblings have already married and I have fourteen nephew and nieces. With this big family I´m very sure that being surrounded by people is a great thing. that’s why I am a pro-life boy. Now I am an active pro-life boy because I started working with EMC, helping pregnant women to save the lives of their children and themselves. I have many desires and ideas in mind, which I will express in following blog posts..

I haven´t tell you anything about my studies yet. I study law at the university of Navarra, even thougth I´m from Mallorca, I heard about this internship from two friends of mine that came last year and I recommend everybody to become an active prolife intern. It will be for your own good.

This is a photo of me with my new nephew Tomás.
