My aim

Well ladies and gentleman, last posts I have been talking about real experiences I have got as a Pro-Life volunteer in the city of New York. Today I would like to speak about what I think, and what I fell as a young guy doing that.

When you work in our pregnancy centers, you use to have scared woman, who need understanding, supporting and also advice. Most of them come shocked, and everyone has experienced how important is the right word when you feel the ground disappearing beneath your feet.  This is our task, not to make philosophy or to indoctrinate people about how to manage their freedom. But someone must say… we have been fooled! Who said that anything is good just because we are free to do it, who said that freedom means to do as we please, who convince us that love is whatever, that sex is the only reason to live for. We have lost our ability to enjoy beautiful things we have around us. We are people with dragoon skin, unable to feel the wind in our skin or the warm sunshine, unable to listen quietly music, to enjoy the air we breathe, the colors we see, the thoughts we have, the life we live.

It is sad to see the music we listen loudly in the subway as it were drug, possessed by hard metal, how we need alcohol gallons to enjoy Saturday night, blood in our films... excess. We are the non-sensitivity, the black or white generation. And there is no strong power above the earth which can satiate us, as well as hold back the consequences of our actions.

Here is my aim. I won´t be stolen any more. This is my life, this is my freedom. I choose to be naive, to be kid. I want to enjoy my normal things, my daily work, my friends, my loves. To get the happiness I have in every corner of my normal life.

When you see the success

I have already told some experiences I have got in the daily work we perform at the EMC pregnancy centers. To deal, to be with a woman in that situation can be tough, although used to be absolutely grateful. Today I want to speak about a pre-natal day, when you see how good life consequences are.

Once per week, in our Brooklyn center, the doctors comes and is available to the mothers… or the children. We made the appointments along the week, taking advantage of the fact we had the dactor that day. Thursday started as any day, with Sandra, one of the technicians, and me welcoming women who came and trying to help them to keep the baby, and it was being a busy day. But time later the doctor came with another person who works with her, and it was amazing to see the center full of people, with the schedule overbooked. A lot of different people were these day, and everyone was cared lovely. Pregnant mothers, and others with her babies. The cutest one was a little baby borned one-week ago. The mother was tired but happy, and they came accompanied by a proud and smiling father, and a chatting grandma. It was awesome to see how happy they were with the new join!

And as the same time the normal work at the office went on, becoming a long but grate day!

A different evening!

I would like to write today about another side, of the interns life here in New York. Eight hours working per day, five days per week, plus Saturday morning, plus long subway trips, plus other commitments… To be volunteer in EMC means to work, and everyone who does need to rest. Our Chief Commander knows it, and because of that, some days ago we got the chance of going to Yankee Stadium!

Spanish people use to love sports, and it is nice to know more about the big four, MLB, NHL, NFL and NBA. This day, two interns were relived sooner of our obligations and we came to Yankee Stadium to witness an amazing game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Yanks. Incredible show to be in this stadium, the atmosphere, the people, the game… We had a hot dog and peanut, we drank coke and we enjoyed a good time, talking with people, supporting the local team and hanging around the place too. Incredible moment the seventh-inning stretch, when the game stops and everyone sings “God Blessed America”.  I love this American way of life! We left the game happy, having shown many strikes… although unfortunately the most were done by Orioles, and the Yankees supporters were not so happy at all.

I will be back with more histories in EMC New York!!

Real happiness

EMC, LifeHouse, NYC… This is an experience! To work in EMC is something serious. You are trying to safe babies, trying to help women in that situation! But what amazing histories you got sometimes.

One week ago I was working at Brooklyn office. Perhaps the office when we attend more women. It was 10am when came one girl, alone, nineteen years old, absolutely stressed. This day I was emplaced with Rosana, one of the tech who make sonograms. The first step was to calm her down, and she started saying us that her father was so strict, and must not know she was pregnant. She was really scared about the decision she had to take. Her life was changing forever, and she wasn’t ready. She must have had an abortion. We were talking deeply about the life, about how sometimes we have to be tough, about those kind of situations you think are the worst and became so nice in your life. She agreed to take the sonogram, thinking in abortion yet. I remember that during she was with Rosana, came three women more and I was so busy. Thirty minutes later, when I had a minute, I saw her watching a National Geografic video, about the pregnancy developing, she was crying, but smiling? She watched the video twice, and told me, totally excited, she was going to keep her soon. She remembered me my sister, who when is moved, cant stop talking. It was almost 1pm, and with the stress she hadn’t eaten nothing along the day. We left the office looking some food. While we were eating pizza, she told me how amazing has been to see the sonogram, to see her son moving, completely formed. She was in love with baby and showed me the sonogram-picture again and again. She was decided to implicate her boyfriend in his parenthood and she was much peaceful about her father. She kept our telephone number, and she left, giving thanks because our task.

I came back to work enjoying the taste of real happiness.

Awesome

Well friends, here we go with the more impressive experience I have got as counselor. It was a rainy and chilling day of my first week working in NYC. I was immersed in my formation period, learning of the experienced women we have in EMC. This day I was at The Bronx office, working with Linda, who has spent twenty years doing that. To deal with the Bronx place is different than other places, more popular, crowded, with really diverse people, many of them with low levels of formation and without studies. In my opinion, may be Bronx where we manage the harder human cases.

Everyone in counseling have their own way, different people relates themselves differently, and Linda has a very personal style. She listen a lot, and really fells the girls troubles and make it her own.  This day we had a girl with an amazing history. Because the confidential politic we work with, I can write names or even concrete dates. But the history was awful. Pregnant, Under-18, she considered insane to explain her situation at home because they had familiar problems, and with the baby-father missing. She was totally alone. I always believe in life, but there are really tough situations. Linda was listening and comforting as well I was just looking, and learning, unable to do something better. When this girl was crying, telling us that she felt bad but abortion was the only chance, another girl comes. 20 years old, she sat in the opposite side of the room and was filling the entry form, when listening to the other girl, left the form and came with us. She sat beside the first one and told her history. She was in the same situation two years ago, and she had an abortion. Right now was pregnant again, and the only she was sure about is that life is always the good decision. Her experience with the abortion was the worst in her life, she knew that keep the baby would not have been easy at all, but this had been a reason, a task in her life. She was unable to forget she could be already mother, and she was wishful to give up all her love to the new baby. They were talking and crying all together during a long time, she got their mobile numbers and she left the office planning take care each one of the other with their pregnancy. Hopefully, those two babies will grow all together and will become even friends.

First experiences in the LifeHouse

I arrived NYC some time ago. To travel, to meet new people, to get experiences, to learn English… but to work in a pro-life organization.

I would like to share with you, people, a summary about my first days here. I arrived at March 25th from Spain, which seems a lot of time because all the things that happens here, and just a few days, because in this amazing way of life, day goes fast. I was hopeful, expectant about what was coming!
To meet the Lifehouse was great. You can´t expect a hotel, but it is friendly. People who were living there (two more interns) welcome me. We have one floor to the girls, one for the guys, a common floor with kitchen, living room, terrace and the attic. All furnished and ready to be lived. To live in The Bronx, it is also funny. Some people come scared about safety, but I have to say that NYC, even Bronx, is one of the safest places I ever have been. People is motley, so different than European, but not really dangerous. You can see cops everywhere, and Americans take safety seriously.

To life in the Lifehouse is great, but you are not here just for living. You are going to help women with a rather tricky situation. EMC has three centers spread along the NYC area, in Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn. The interns used to be located in one of the different places every day. My first days I was working at Brooklyn, being taught by Katty, the experienced manager of this pregnancy center. I see a counselor session, I watched the media material we have in the center with necessary information about abortion techniques, and I learnt how to manage the appointments we used to have. To help this woman usually it is not necessary only one session, we offer pregnancy test, sonograms, information, counseling, and diverse resources which helps girls to keep the baby. And we are absolutely opened always, ready to listen, to understand those persons who afford the harder decision in their life, and if they keep the baby, the happier choice.

At 5PM I left the center happy, proud about the task done. I took the crowded and crazy subway direct to meet the interns and have a walk in Times Square. Looking all those people running and living all together, but each one busy in their own business, I thought how good is to find some people who expend their life trying to make more human the crazy city of New York.

In the next post, I will tell you one of my best experinces as counselor in The Bronx!

Repeat abortions climb with increased contraceptive use: UK government stats

LONDON, April 15, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) –

The British government has released statistics showing that while the teen pregnancy and abortion rates are dropping, the number of girls and women having repeat abortions continues to climb alongside steady increases in the use of artificial contraceptives.
According to the Society for the Protection of Unborn Citizens, the statistics show that giving more contraceptives to young girls will lead to more abortions.
According to 2012 figures for London alone, 16,323 women age 18-29 had abortions who had never had one previously. 7,817 of aborting women in London in the same age group had had one previous abortion. 149 had had four previous abortions and 22 had had six previously. Overall, the number of repeat abortions for England and Wales is about 37 percent in the latest figures.
The government’s figures show that in general the abortion rate has dropped since 2010 but the number of repeat abortions has risen. In 2011, 36 percent of women undergoing abortions had one or more previous abortions. The 2011 report said that number has risen from 31 percent since 2001.
The same 2011 report found that 96 percent of abortions were funded by the NHS and 61 percent of these were carried out in private facilities who bill the NHS.
Health Minister Jane Ellison added that in 2012, of the 185,122 abortions performed on residents of England and Wales, none were allowed under Ground F, “to save the life of the pregnant woman.”
The release of the statistics comes as a government health rationing board has recommended that abortifacient drugs be given to schoolgirls for free to reduce the teen pregnancy rate. Calls for increasing “access” to contraceptives are constant from powerful “family planning” lobby agencies like International Planned Parenthood and Marie Stopes International whose main business is providing abortions, usually subsidized by the National Health Service.
Paul Tully, SPUC’s general secretary, told LifeSiteNews that the rate of repeat abortions has risen steadily since the legalization of abortion, while the government continues to press for more and more artificial contraception.
In a SPUC media release, Tully said, “The pro-abortion lobby will suggest that more stringent birth control regimes are needed to stop women becoming pregnant and incurring expensive NHS abortion costs.”
“As a result of these figures, ministers are likely to agree to more intensive programmes to promote contraception, both to women who have abortions, and to young people generally,” Tully said.
But “the result of this is well-recognised – it doesn't reduce abortion, but promotes attitudes and sexual behaviour which increase the likelihood of children being conceived in unstable situations.” Government statistics have shown that nearly three quarters of underage pregnancies end in abortion.
“To break this vicious cycle,” Tully added, “doctors should refuse to sanction abortion for so-called ‘unwanted’ pregnancies.” Tully noted that even according to the current law abortion is not legal simply because a child is “unwanted.”
He called on ministers to demand that the Department of Health “stop promoting birth-control policies which lead to sexual abuses, the undermining of marriage and the killing of unborn babies.”
Tully told LifeSiteNews there needs to be a more comprehensive, and less ideologically-driven examination of how the abortion rates “are affected by the contraceptive and anti-life mentality” being pressed by certain lobbying interests in Parliament. He said that currently, because of the large percentage of abortions carried out in private facilities like those run by Marie Stopes and the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS), obtaining accurate figures is extremely difficult.
The government’s 2011 report also noted that the proportion of ground C abortions, those conducted because “the pregnancy would involve risk, greater than if the pregnancy were terminated, of injury to the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman” has “risen steadily.” The “vast majority” (99.96 per cent) of ground C-only terminations “were reported as being performed because of a risk to the woman’s mental health.”
Tully said that given the way the system works it is very likely that the number of repeat abortions is underreported. He noted that in freestanding abortion facilities, the medical information is obtained directly from the woman and not confirmed by consultation with her regular doctor.
Tully added that “the precision of the numbers given implies that the numbers are highly reliable, but scratch the surface a little and I would say the accuracy of the figures is in question.” In general he said they are “more likely to be higher in reality than lower.”
He noted too that the government’s abortion statistics are no longer collated from the data by an outside, independent statistical agency, but are compiled by the Sexual Health Team of the Department of Health, “the very people who are developing and pressing forward these policies.”

Colorado Democrats give up abortion fight

DENVER - A bill offered by Democrats aimed at guarding against restrictions of abortion was laid over until May 8, effectively killing the bill.
Senate Democrats abandoned their own proposal Wednesday amid fears they wouldn't have the votes to pass the measure, which would have banned any state regulation of reproductive rights.
SB 175 has been the subject of visible demonstrations over the past week, with Catholic bishops leading the opposition.
Democrats hold only a single seat majority in the senate, but one of them told 9NEWS that he was undecided after initially supporting the bill at the committee level.
"I'm not sure if it's the best tool for conveying the message which we wish to convey, which is that as Democrats, as with many people, [think] government should stay out of these things," Sen. John Kefalas (D-Fort Collins) said. "I'm also listening to folks that are reaching out to me."
Kefalas has a background lobbying for Catholic Charities, a job that he left amid reported differences on the issue of abortion.
On Wednesday, Kefalas also told 9NEWS he fully supports "a woman's right to make a decision."

Republicans and religious conservatives watching the debate applauded when Democrats abandoned the proposal. Opponents including the Catholic Archbishop of Denver feared the bill could threaten even basic health regulations on reproductive care.

On Life Issues, NY is Completely Dysfunctional

On Monday, the New York Post published an article entitled "NYC's tanning salons inspected more regularly than abortion clinics." The Post describes this discovery as a "bombshell." And for those who haven't been paying the slightest bit of attention to the abortion industry and its lobby, I suppose it is. For myself, the only source of surprise was seeing this get media coverage outside of the pro-life blogosphere. Nice job, New York Post.

New York City may not have a desire to inspect its abortion facilities, but it is very interested in policing the interactions that pro-life pregnancy centers have with the mothers who come to them for pregnancy tests, sonograms, counseling, diapers, and other assistance. The City has spent who knows how much money defending its unconstitutional anti-pregnancy-center law in court for the past three years.

Most of the legislation that NYC passed to regulate pregnancy centers has been struck down by the Second Circuit Court of Appeal, who noted that the law was not tailored to address any legitimate state interest. (No woman has ever had her uterus perforated, had pieces of her dead fetus left inside her, or hemorrhaged to death at a pro-life pregnancy center. The same cannot be said for those under-regulated abortion facilities.) But the court did allow a small portion of the law to stand, and the pregnancy centers are appealing that decision to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Yesterday, New York City pregnancy centers
won a small victory when the Second Circuit agreed to issue a stay. This means that during the many months it may take to obtain a response from the Supreme Court, no partof anti-pregnancy-center law will be in effect. They will be able to go about their business as usual, providing New York women with an alternative to under-regulated for-profit abortionists.

These two stories, coming just a day apart, highlight the utter insanity of New York's pro-abortion mindset. They also highlight which side is really pro-woman. Actions speak louder than words. If the government of New York City can find the money to fund biannual inspections of tanning salons, surely it can find the money to beef up regulation of its abortion facilities. Might I suggest dropping their vendetta against pro-life pregnancy centers and redirecting some of the legal budget?

  • Shakira y Rihanna. "Can't remember to forget you”. Una relación lésbica. Emitido el 13 de marzo. Kiss Televisión. 10:20 horas.
  • Millow. "Ayo Technology”.
"Partition". Las fantasías sexuales como prostituta. Emitido el 14 de marzo. MTV España. 7:40 horas.
  • Beyoncé. "Drunk in love". Erotismo a la orilla del mar. Emitido el 11 de marzo. Kiss Televisión. 18:07 horas.
  • Miley Cyrus. "Adore You". Un cuerpo casi desnudo entre las sábanas. Emitido el 11 de marzo. Kiss Televisión. 18:17 horas.
  • Britney Spears. "Criminal". Sexo y violencia. Emitido el 11 de marzo. Kiss Televisión. 18:12 horas.

Life after Gossnell

This time last year, notorious Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell was on trial. "For procrastination," as one insightful commentator put it. Gosnell waited until his victims had passed through the birth canal before cutting their spinal cords.

Let's not forget that he also killed adult women (a fact that unfortunately got less attention than it should because it only resulted in a manslaughter conviction, versus murder for the infant victims). And his "clinic" was disgusting and grossly understaffed; a teenager worked there, and I can only cringe when I think of how that experience must have affected her psyche.

Time passes; life goes on. Gosnell was of course convicted. The former house of horrors has, in a movie-like happy ending, been purchased for use as a charitable food pantry.

But it would be wrong to view Gosnell in isolation. It's all part of a broader story, in which legislation to regulate abortion facilities is scorned as an anti-choice conspiracy, while the ambulances keep coming. Planned Parenthood aggressively targets politicians who dare to vote for common-sense safety measures: including, most appallingly, the cousin of one of Gosnell's victims.

So I think it's entirely appropriate for the pro-life movement to keep Gosnell in the spotlight. A new documentary film promises to do just that, and best of all, this documentary will air on television.

If you're thinking, "Didn't I already see a movie about Kermit Gosnell?", you are correct. 3801 Lancaster is a short film that vividly depicts the findings of the grand jury report and features heart-wrenching interviews with women harmed by Gosnell. But it was created before the trial, so it obviously can't tell the whole story.

The new film, which is simply titled "Gosnell," is in the crowdfunding phase. The producers have already raised close to $200,000 on IndieGogo.

One of the taglines for the film is "The Doctor is Sin." I don't know if that's an indication that this will be a religious film, or if it's just a clever play on words. The media coverage of the fundraising campaign has been secular in nature so far, so I'm guessing the latter.

The other tagline is "America's Biggest Serial Killer." The producers make their case:
Gosnell killed more people than Gary Ridgeway, John Wayne Gacey, The Zodiac Killer and Ted Bundy combined. In a 30 year killing spree, it is thought he killed 1000s of babies. And that wasn't a national story?
All of those serial killers are staples of cable TV specials. It stands to reason that Gosnell should be too. I look forward to seeing the end result of this project.

The Dream is DEAD...

(Expo Life starts in Madrid)

Inspiring words

When I have trouble moving forward and I have to face a tough situation, I always end up finding some inspiring words that lead me to recover all my strength and try harder. Today I needed to hear that and it definitely helped me taking another step..."When it is dark enough, we can see the stars"

"It is important for you to recover from recent stress by leaning on Me. Be strong. Don't give up. All things that represent problems are only a stepping stone to understanding the work of My kingdom more completely. Keep looking up, says the LORD. Never forget that I am leading you to victory."

Philippians 3:12, "Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me."

Never give up. Never did, Never will.

Is "IT" just tissue?

Trying to explain to somebody the abortion procedures and how they could affect a woman’s body. She was very interested in having an abortion so after explaining the other alternatives and holding a conversation on the possible ways we could help her with her pregnancy, I did my best to explain every possible abortion procedure, medical and surgical, and what its consequences could be. We spent way more time discussing about the abortion pill. She said she didn’t want to kill a baby but she didn’t feel bad about taking the pill. I was very surprised about her reaction. First I thought she probably didn’t want to go through surgery but wouldn’t mind taking a pill because it may seem more “random” or less invasive. However, her answered really shocked me. She replied that now that she was 5 weeks, “it was just tissue, just a cell”. Then I realized how little some people now about the development process of the human being. Well, I said. How can a tissue have a heartbeat? And I started to get deep into the point…

CONCEPTION:
The beginning of a unique, living, human organism...

3 WEEKS:
The baby has a heartbeat...

6 WEEKS:
The baby begins to move...

9 WEEKS:
The baby can yawn and suck its thumb...

12 WEEKS:
All the baby organs are functioning and the baby can smile...

Conception marks the beggining of a unique, living, human organism and at just eight weeks from conception all the baby's organs are developed...The life of the unborn is precious...YOUR LIFE IS PRECIOUS!

God, Who created life, said "You shall not murder". Many people try to deny that abortion ends the life of an innocent child... Yet God considers even hatred to be murder. (Mat. 5:22)

One day your life will come to an end and you will stand before God in judgement and he will judge your every thought, word and action, according to his standard and perfection, the Ten Commandments.
How will you do?
The Bible says thet if you have lied, stolen, taken God's name in vain or hated someone, you will be found guilty and cast into Hell for all eternity.

DON'T BE FOOLED

Your good works cannot save you. However, God in his love, provided a way for sin to be paid for through his son Jesus Christ. Jesus chose to lay his life down, die on the cross and rise from the dead so that we could be cleaned from our sin. But Jesus commands everyone, everywhere, to hate your sin and turn from it and trust in him alone for salvation. When you do, God will forgive your every sin and grant you everlasting life with him. Eternity is forever. Cry out to the Lord to show you your heart compared to his righteousness... You will either be broken over your sin and cry out to God for salvation OR you will harden your heart...
The CHOICE is yours!
